AI processing: what it means and how to change it

MemoSeek uses AI providers to understand what you say or type and to read the photos you add. It asks before first use. You can say yes, or choose “Not now” and use MemoSeek in a limited mode.

Understanding voice and typed requests, to turn them into reminders and saved details.
Reading the photos you add, to pull out details such as dates and amounts.
Some spoken replies.

If you choose “Not now”

MemoSeek works in a limited mode. With AI processing off, voice, typed requests and photo reading are all off. You can still browse, edit and delete what you have saved. Settings and Privacy & Data also stay available.

Change your answer

Open MemoSeek and go to Settings.
Tap Privacy & Data.
Tap AI processing and choose.

Who processes your data

MemoSeek’s servers call Google (Gemini API), OpenAI and ElevenLabs, depending on the task. AI and your data shows what each provider may receive, and Subprocessors lists every service provider.

Does MemoSeek store my voice?

No. MemoSeek does not store recordings of your voice. What you ask it to save is kept as text. Speech is processed by Apple’s speech recognition or, in some voice modes, by an AI provider, under their terms.

Can AI get things wrong?

Yes. It can misunderstand a time, a name or a number. MemoSeek shows you what it understood before it saves; check important dates yourself in Record.
